General rules will be outlined here. The following posts will have supplemental information for this game. Please read the Rules Clarification thread on the discord server periodically for updates regarding changes.
Role Play:
This is an RP setting. As such you are here to play a character. That doesn't mean you have to do a silly voice, but while playing that character you should conduct yourself as that character would. Do your best to make a fully rounded character complete with flaws, imperfections and weaknesses. Always keep in mind with your adventure characters, the tougher you are, the tougher the adventure is. Games will scale to the characters so it's not necessary to completely min/max for combat. Remember the rewards for good role play are often greater than those for simply killing things.
Commitment:
Have a decent internet connection and the ability to connect to voice chat to listen. Mic requirements are up to the DM running your game. Have enough time to play a game, minimum of 2 hours and be sure to inform the DM in advance of any time restrictions.
Content:
This is a Pazio Material only world. 3rd Party materials are not allowed.
In an attempt to make the game as open and accessible as possible, we prefer to restrict, rather than ban any official Pazio content at this time, there are a few things where a complete ban is required. Make sure to seek out an admin with regards to variant rule systems. Don't be the reason we have to ban something!
Character Tracking:
NEVER EDIT YOUR CHARACTER THREAD! Track your progress by reply only. You only have to upload a new sheet when your character gains a level. If you are uploading a changed sheet, even if it's not a new level, save it as a new file and link in a reply. Yes it can get messy but it insures an accurate trail of your character's progression. If you find you've messed something up, it's not a big deal, just fix it with a reply and learn from your mistake.
ALWAYS keep a running tally of gold, items, capital and experience gained or lost by your character on it's Character Thread. If something is on your person it must be applied to carry weight. If an item has weight and is not applied to your carry weight, it is considered stashed in your personal space in town unless another location is specified. This applies to the availability of items, capital and gold while out of town.
You must record each day used for downtime. You may combine the result if you do the same thing for multiple days, but must make a full entry for exp, gain of wealth, capital.
You should have a place to sleep in town, even if it's only a tent or bedroll, and indicate it on your character sheet/thread. Alternative sleep locations in town include a lodge, public housing or a room at the inn.
Your Roll20 sheet is not the primary source to track that information. Unless it is marked in either your thread or on your sheet, it will be assumed to have not been earned or gotten. The last character sheet linked to the character thread will be the first source, followed by the character thread. If the something is not on either of those places, you do not have it.
Approval:
All characters must be checked, approved and moved to the proper Approved Adventurers folder before asking entrance to any game. Any characters being built close to a game's starting time will wait for this process even if it may mean losing the spot in the game. It is the player's responsibility to assure their character is approved and moved before they join the game. Failure to follow this may result in character penalties.
Your character will require reapproval in order to progress to level 10. When ready to progress, post your level 10 character and contact a DM or Pantheon directly to request the approval.
Any gains made before a character is approved/reapproved will be forfeit.
Rebuilds:
Every character receives 1 free rebuild before level 7. You must keep the same Gold, XP and Gear but can change anything build related except a trait that gave you monetary value (ie. Rich Parents, Pioneer, The Pathfinder's Exile). The Rebuild must be approved by a DM before any progress can be made on the character. After level 7 all character changes must be made within the game and/or retraining system using downtime or granted in a session by a DM. You may rebuild a character after gaining community level as long as that character still falls within the rebuild guidelines. This includes changing your race to your newly unlocked races, this does not allow you to rebuild the character into a race that is Pantheon discretion. You may change your archetypes with the rebuild.
You must be reapproved after the rebuild. Failure can incur penalties up to and including loss of the character.
Retraining:
Retraining functions as per normal with the following exceptions:
1. You may not retrain for health.
2. Chained Barbarian, Monk and Rogue may be retrained into their Unchained versions and they are classed as having synergy.
Note that any class features or abilities that are not allowed with the new version must also be trained out of.

Active Player Character: (APC)
Live characters. APCs are allowed full use of skills and features while active and may participate in all activities including adventures, faction building and downtime.
You may have two (2) active Adventurers and one (1) active Citizen character.
Passive Player Character: (PPC)
Background characters. PPCs can only participate in downtime activities and must Take 10 on all skill checks.
Association:
Characters will be able to interact and purchase goods and services from other characters, however, there will be no direct gifting of items or currency between any characters. When a single player is interacting between his own characters, all goods and services must be purchased at full retail price (before Charisma penalties). A player's characters can only associate with one of his other characters at any given time.
Players will be allowed to negotiate services from other Players at will, however you must get reasonable value for an exchange. Available discounts on items and goods will be dependent on town size.
Character Limits:
Players are limited in the number of characters that can regularly go on adventures. You may have two (2) Active Adventurers and one (1) Active Citizen. An active character may be made passive at any time to make room for a new active character. You may have any number of passive characters but will still be expected to track all character threads for characters that live in the Saoirse region.
When a character is made passive, a player will indicate on their character thread. This character it cannot be active again for 2 weeks from that post. In order to reactivate a character, the player must have an empty active character slot of the appropriate type.
Character Penalties:
The setting can and will enforce various different penalties on characters. It is the responsibility of the player to ensure they are properly accounting for all penalties and bonuses. If it is found that your character has not been accounting for penalties, you will be forced to pay a fine to the city based off any gains made for not doing so. The fine must be paid before character can continue progression in any manner and can include forfeiture of goods if fines cannot be paid in currency.
Leveling:
Characters will be on the fast progression system. XP Gains are as follows:
You may wish to level some characters at a slower rate than others. A character can choose to take less rewards from table stats if he wishes. You can reduce the XP, GP and Influence reward by any percentage desired however, all rewards must be reduced equally (rounded down). If you are taking less than full rewards, be sure to reply to the appropriate adventure recap indicating the percent you are taking.
You can also choose to level lock your character. If so, indicate in your character thread at which level you are locking your character. A level locked character can have a maximum wealth by level of the character level +1.
State Council:
State council will be held monthly to make decisions on regional matters such as treaties and capitol matters such Capital city building and structure.
The council will consist of the following:
Player Stores:
Full player store rules are outlined in the Player Stores section of the forums.
Profession and Craft:
If you are taking 10 on your character thread, make sure to show your work: Eg. Tier Mod(10) * Take 10 Roll (20) - Goblin Theft (-2)/ 10 = 18
These skills allow players to earn money in their off time. Every character should choose at least 1 profession or craft skill. Every day a player can spend downtime to work on his profession and earn money. To do so, roll a profession/craft check to earn money (or take 10 on your character thread). Your character earns gold = Tier Mod * (Take 10 +Profession Mod)/10
In addition, one can use this check to earn Capital related to the appropriate check. Capital is used in the building of town structures. See the Downtime and Setting rules for more info on Capital and the Setting.
Item Crafting:
Similar to profession checks, if you are crafting on your character thread be sure to show your work: Eg.
Item Crafted - Base DC (5) + Spell Level (1) + Rush (5) = DC11; Take 10 Roll (20); Crafting Cost (1000gp); 1 Downtime
Item crafting will use the Simple version of the Crafting Rules, a copy of the PDF is pinned in the Rules Clarification channel on discord - that is the primary source for this. Magic Items will use normal Magic Item Creation rules. We will not be using Custom Item creation at this time. More Details below. Additional rules can be found in the Setting Item Crafting Rules
Note: you may make either mundane or magic items each day, but not both. You must follow the given rules for making the items. Please check the Professional handbook for more info on Scrolls and Potions
Alignment:
There are currently no alignment restrictions for characters, however keep in mind that in this setting there will be repercussions for all of your actions. The lands were christened by a Good deity and the lands speak to the citizens of town. Abuse or acting contrary to what is expected of an alignment for the character may subject the character to an alignment change. GMs will discuss characters acting against their alignment and may change your alignment should your actions require it.
Fame:
All characters will be subject to Fame and Infamy. Your character begins with Fame = Character Level + Charisma Modifier. All character actions, including RP, In game and Faction will affect your Fame rating. See the Reputation and Fame section of the SRD for full rules.
Any character already existing at the time of the Foundation Update will gain the starting amount of fame based on their current level + cha mod. If you can point to an adventure recap that shows you accomplishing something on the Fame Events table you may add that bonus and any prestige points earned from it.

Beware the Fame Events chart from the reputation and fame section of the SRD is misleading. Many of the fame modifiers have annotations included that are not superscript thus look like large fame modiefiers.
Eg. "Craft a powerful magic item" is not +12 fame. It is +1 fame with the annotation of #2 (Per 40,000 gp of the item's price)
Be sure to take note when calculating your fame that none of the fame modifiers are greater than 10. (With "Be convicted of treason" as -10)
